Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. This permanent, full-time position is essential for maintaining and repairing diesel engines and related systems, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive mechanics, particularly with diesel engines, and will play a crucial role in supporting our operations in the automotive industry.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair faults in diesel engines and related systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing on diesel vehicles.
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Stay updated with the latest industry developments and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Light Vehicle Mechanical or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanics or a related field.
- Strong understanding of diesel engine systems and components.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
