💰 Pay Rate: SCHADS Award Level 2.1

🕒 Weekday Shifts Only:

• Morning: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Sleepover: 4:00 PM – 8:00 AM

We’re seeking a compassionate and skilled Disability Support Worker to provide essential care to a client with complex medical and behavioral needs. If you have experience supporting non-verbal individuals and can recognize behavioral cues, we’d love to hear from you!

🩺 About the Role

You will support a client with Schizophrenia, PTSD, COPD, Stroke History, Acquired Brain Injury, and Epilepsy, managing mobility, medication, and emotional well-being.

Key Challenges & Support Needs:

⚠️ Non-Verbal Communication – Recognizing distress cues & responding effectively

⚠️ Aggression & Self-Harm – Implementing de-escalation strategies

⚠️ Medication & Health Support – Ensuring compliance & monitoring conditions

⚠️ Mobility & Daily Living Assistance – Supporting transfers, hygiene & rehabilitation

🔎 What We’re Looking For

✔️ 2+ years of experience in Aged Care or NDIS

✔️ Strong understanding of non-verbal communication & behavioral cues

✔️ Crisis management & de-escalation skills

✔️ Patience & resilience in high-pressure situations

✔️ Personal care & mobility assistance expertise

🎓 Essential Requirements

📌 Certificate III or IV in Disability (Highly Preferred)

📌 NDIS Worker Screening & Employee Working with Children Check

📌 National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

📌 Valid Australian Driver’s License & Insured Vehicle

📌 Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
