Our clerkship offers a genuine insight into what it’s like to work at Banton Group as a Graduate and Associate, and many of our clerks have gone on to successfully obtain those roles in the Firm. The focus is on real learning on real work for our varied and complex matters, but there are also chances for socialising with the team outside of the office context at Firm events.

Application close on Tuesday 4th of August 2026.

Company Overview

Banton Group was established in 2020 by powerhouse lawyer, Amanda Banton. She is renowned for her pioneering litigation in relation to complex financial products, particularly involving collateralized debt obligations or synthetic collateralized debt obligations, including successful ground breaking claims against global ratings agencies and global and Australian financial institutions. Banton Group specialises in large commercial dispute resolution, class actions, restructuring and insolvency litigation and advisory matters. We are renowned for our direct approach to challenging and obscure legal problems on behalf of our clients. Being strategic thinkers and results focused, our team brings together some of the brightest legal minds with worldwide experience. Our team members have successfully recovered well over half a billion dollars in settlements and judgments, with recoveries almost always at the high end of the damages claimed. Our lawyers have experience acting in some of Australia’s largest class actions and insolvencies and are experts in assisting clients with high-value and reputationally significant disputes and investigative matters. Our practice also encompasses a broad range of regulatory matters, state and federal litigation, international arbitration, out-of-court restructurings, major private and public entity distressed transactions, multijurisdictional corporate collapses and court sanctioned schemes.
