Description

  • Reporting to senior lawyers and Responsible Partner and Managing Partner.
  • Assisting with the preparation of matters for litigation, expert determination, mediation, adjudication and arbitration.
  • Conducting legal research.
  • Updating and consulting with senior lawyers and Partners.
  • Draft documents including, pleadings and evidence, memorandums of advice and briefing notes to counsel.
  • Communicating (email and phone) and attending meetings with clients and counsel.
  • Attendance at court as required (with senior lawyer or counsel).
  • Ensure effective management of time and effort.
  • Maintain contemporaneous time records at all times.
  • Ensure work is compliant with professional requirements, procedures and standard documents.
  • Participating in firm organised marketing activities and the preparation of marketing and client information material.
  • Engaging in some business development and networking activities.
  • Build knowledge and experience in practice areas to the highest standards.
  • Provide supervision, support and guidance to paralegals.
