Description
- Reporting to senior lawyers and Responsible Partner and Managing Partner.
- Assisting with the preparation of matters for litigation, expert determination, mediation, adjudication and arbitration.
- Conducting legal research.
- Updating and consulting with senior lawyers and Partners.
- Draft documents including, pleadings and evidence, memorandums of advice and briefing notes to counsel.
- Communicating (email and phone) and attending meetings with clients and counsel.
- Attendance at court as required (with senior lawyer or counsel).
- Ensure effective management of time and effort.
- Maintain contemporaneous time records at all times.
- Ensure work is compliant with professional requirements, procedures and standard documents.
- Participating in firm organised marketing activities and the preparation of marketing and client information material.
- Engaging in some business development and networking activities.
- Build knowledge and experience in practice areas to the highest standards.
- Provide supervision, support and guidance to paralegals.
