Full-time | Mt Victoria, NSW
Salary: $95,000-$128,000 (FTE incl Super) + Salary Packaging + Benefits

Plus addt 15% on Salary for Govt Retention Grant (Approx $14k-$20k)

Possum’s Patch, Mount Victoria is a 24-place long-day care centre. Our centre has served the Mount Victoria, Hartley, Mt Wilson, and Blackheath communities for over 20 years. It operates out of the original sandstone Mount Victoria schoolhouse, co-located with Mount Victoria Public School.

Possum’s Patch, Mount Victoria was rated as Meeting the National Quality Standard overall, with exceeding ratings in the Educational Program, Respectful and Equitable Relationship with Children and Professionalism, in July 2022.

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Centre Director to lead Possum’s Patch Early Childhood Centre in Mt Victoria. As both Centre Director and Nominated Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring high-quality early learning and care, supporting a positive team culture, and building strong relationships with children, families, staff, and the local community.

You’ll lead day-to-day operations while ensuring alignment with the National Quality Framework, child protection standards, and Connect’s values-driven approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong and values-based leadership to a dedicated team
  • Ensure high-quality, inclusive education and care in line with NQF
  • Manage staffing, enrolments, compliance, and reporting
  • Build trusted relationships with families and local service providers
  • Promote a safe, child-centred, and trauma-informed environment
  • Contribute to organisational initiatives and service improvement

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Early Childhood (ACECQA approved)
  • Experience in a leadership role within early childhood education
  • Strong understanding of NQF, EYLF, and child protection legislation
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and team leadership skills
  • A commitment to social justice, inclusion, and family-centred practice

Essential Requirements:

  • Willingness to act as Nominated Supervisor
  • Current Working with Children Check & recent Police Check
  • ACECQA approved First Aid and Child Protection training
  • A clear compliance history
