Role Overview:

As the Manager of Quality, Risk and Clinical Care at Community Care TASMANIA, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services to clients. You will be responsible for overseeing the organisation’s quality assurance, risk management, and compliance frameworks, ensuring we continually meet and exceed industry standards. The role ensures compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, funding agreements and contractual obligations, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety, accountability and participant centred care.

Key Responsibilities (Selection Criteria):

  • Ensuring that the Risk Register is maintained and the quality framework supports optimal outcomes in relation to quality assessment and monitoring, complaints resolution, education, and consumer engagement.
  • Oversee the formulation of responses and or reports to the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission and other relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Developing and oversee the RAS Risk Management Framework:
  • Ensures that incident management and investigation processes are undertaken in alignment with relevant legislation and requirements.
  • Advise and identify risk management strategies across the business in line with regulatory requirements, ensuring strong governance and accountability across all areas of service.
  • Coordinating audits and contribute to continuous improvement.These audits will ensure that we are meeting industry standards, adhering to regulatory requirements, and identifying any areas for improvement from an external perspective.
  • Manage third party providers, supplier and contractor agreements and compliance.
  • Act as a key advisor on regulatory and quality compliance.
  • Support investigations and corrective actions for compliance breaches.

About You:

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and highly organised Quality, Risk & Clinical Compliance Manager who has a passion for supporting Tasmanians living in their own homes and communities, and leading a dedicated team to deliver high-quality care. You will bring:

Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of five years post-graduate experience in a risk, compliance or audit related role
  • Extensive knowledge of the Aged Care Act 2024 and Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Experience leading and influencing through change and working agilely in complex environments.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of Federal and Tasmanian Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice and legislative instruments that relate to Aged Care and NDIS.
  • Computer literacy, including Excel, financial software, database management, CRM’s and reporting of metrics.
  • Experience working with senior and executive management teams.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reporting to the executive team and Board.

Essential Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of NDIS and Disability related frameworks and Standards.
  • Proven experience in policy development, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance within aged care and disability, health, or other regulated sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess compliance, identify risks, and implement practical solutions.
  • Skilled in interpreting legislation and translating complex regulations into clear operational processes.
  • Experience in compliance monitoring, audits, and reporting to support quality assurance.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with experience drafting policies, guidelines, and compliance documentation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in managing compliance for third-party service providers.
  • Understanding of risk management principles related to aged care and disability compliance.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within compliance or quality assurance.
