We are seeking a talented UX/UI Designer to join our dynamic team in Marrickville. In this 6 month contract role (parental leave cover), you will play a crucial part in enhancing user experiences and creating visually appealing interfaces for our digital products. Your expertise will help us deliver innovative design solutions that meet the needs of our users and align with our business objectives.

You’re a UX/UI Designer who knows how to balance user needs with business goals. You’re comfortable across the full design process — from planning and conducting user research through to prototyping, testing and delivering polished, accessible interfaces.

About the role
The UX/UI Designer is responsible for digital design and interactive functionality for CHOICE’s audience. Seeking varying aspects of the design, the UX/UI Designer aims to ensure CHOICE creates a product design that meets customers needs, is efficient and meets organisational goals.
Responsibilities:
- User Research and Analysis
- Conduct user research to identify user needs, pain points and behaviours.
- Employ qualitative and quantitative data to gather insights.
- Plan and execute user research activities, including user interviews, surveys and usability testing.
- Analyse user research data to identify insights and inform design decisions.
- Design Execution
- Work within the UX/UI design process to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and agile squads to ensure alignment on design goals.
- Identify and resolve usability and accessibility issues.
- Create both low and high fidelity prototypes to validate with users.
- Create interaction models and user flows to ensure a smooth and intuitive user experience.
- Maintain design consistency across all products and platforms.
- Present designs to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Solution Design
- Coordinate, lead and facilitate internal ideation sessions using a variety of methods (Design Sprint, Service Design mapping).
- Validate ideation initiatives against user needs, business objectives and operational constraints.
