THE GIG
We are on the
hunt for a Designer to join our Product Team. Reporting to the Head of
Product, this role is responsible for the design and development of trend-led Quick
to Market (QTM), Special Make Up (SMU) and Direct to Customer (DTC) product
ranges that support the growth of the Thrills brand across wholesale, retail
and ecommerce channels.
Working
closely with the Product, Buying and Wholesale teams, you will identify
emerging trends and commercial opportunities to create innovative,
customer-focused product that aligns with the Thrills brand vision. Managing
the end-to-end product development process from concept and design through to
production, you will play a key role in delivering fast-turnaround collections
and exclusive product offerings that drive growth across both wholesale
accounts and Thrills’ direct-to-customer channels.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of
QTM, DTC and SMU product ranges for Thrills, from concept through to
pre-production approval.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Product,
Buying Manager, Wholesale Manager and Design Team to deliver commercially
successful and brand-aligned collections.
- Design and develop exclusive SMU ranges for
wholesale partners, ensuring customer needs and business objectives are met.
- Manage the product development process,
including technical packs, sample reviews, fit sessions, approvals and factory
communication.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with
offshore suppliers and factories, managing timelines, pricing, development and
quality outcomes.
- Work with Buying and Merchandising teams to
curate retail ranges that align with sales strategies and budget requirements.
- Source and develop new fabrics, trims and
product innovations that support the evolution of the Thrills product offering.
- Mentor and support the Product Developer,
fostering collaboration, accountability and professional growth within the
team.
- Ensure accurate management of product
information, development timelines and critical path documentation throughout
the product lifecycle.
- Partner with Marketing, Ecommerce, Production
and Sales teams to support successful product launches, photoshoots and
go-to-market execution.
TO BE
SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL NEED:
- 3-5
years’ experience in complete development of product from initial drawings to
final samples and fit sessions
- Demonstrated experience designing both menswear
and womenswear collections.
- Strong understanding of the garment development
process from concept to production.
- Experience designing commercially successful
apparel ranges.
- Strong knowledge of fashion trends, fabrics and
garment construction.
- Proficiency in creating technical packs and
product specifications.
- Experience working with offshore suppliers and
managing product development timelines.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to balance
creativity and business objectives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder
management skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite,
particularly Illustrator.
