About the Role:

We are seeking a People and Culture Administration Assistant to provide administration support across the people and culture team. The role supports the day-to-day administration of recruitment and HR activities across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment administration, pre-employment checks, onboarding, employee records, HR, Payroll and Learning Management systems, personnel files and general HR administration.

Working closely with the HR, Recruitment and Payroll teams, the position assists with coordinating recruitment and HR activities, maintaining accurate employee records and documentation, and ensuring processes are completed accurately and within required timeframes.

The People and Culture Administration Assistant contributes to the delivery of a responsive and customer-focused service by providing reliable administrative support to the People and Culture team, managers, employees and candidates.

Part Time 60hrs per fortnight. Hours are negotiable for the right candidate.

Duties:

  • Provide accurate and timely administrative support across People & Culture team processes.
  • Assist in coordinating and monitoring pre-employment checks for onboarding staff, including Police Checks, Working with Children Checks, NDIS Worker Screening Checks and Driving Licence checks helping to ensure that all required documentation is provided and verified prior to commencement.
  • Assist in preparing and issuing employment contracts, offer letters and other new starter documentation when needed.
  • Assist in entering new staff details into HR, Payroll and Learning Management systems.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee and candidate information across relevant HR, Recruitment ,Payroll and Learning Management systems.
  • Assist in maintaining electronic and personnel files and ensure documentation is accurately recorded and filed.
  • Help with processing and administering employee lifecycle changes, including commencements, changes to employment and employee separations.
  • Assist with maintaining employee compliance records and monitoring outstanding requirements.
  • Assist with responding to enquiries from candidates, employees, managers and other stakeholders, escalating matters where appropriate.
  • Assist with reporting, data entry, recruitment data and maintaining accurate records and databases.

 

Skills and Experience:

 

Essential:

  • Previous experience in HR administration, or a similar administrative role.
  • Demonstrated experience providing accurate and timely administrative support in a busy environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate professionally with candidates, employees, managers and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. 

 Desirable:

  • Qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, such as Certificate IV.
