Case Worker – Maitland – 12 month Fixed Term – 76 Hours per fornight

About the Role:

We are seeking a Case Worker to join our Foster Care team, providing case management and support to children and young people in Out of Home Care. Working alongside families, foster carers and key professionals, you will help achieve positive outcomes and permanency, with the safety, wellbeing and best interests of each child and young person at the forefront.

Duties:

• Develop, implement and review individualised case plans.
• Monitor placements and support the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, foster carers and key professionals.
• Support family connections, contact arrangements and cultural needs.
• Provide guidance, information and support to foster carers.
• Maintain accurate case records, reports and documentation.
• Identify and escalate concerns relating to safety and wellbeing.
• Participate in training, professional development and the on-call roster.

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

• Experience in case management within a Human Services field.
• Strong analytical, casework, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
• Empathy and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.
• Current driver’s licence and registered vehicle.
• Required screening checks, or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.

 Desirable:

• Knowledge of relevant legislation, NSW Child Safe Standards and the Permanency Support Program.
• Relevant Diploma-level qualification in Human Services or a related field.
• Experience working to deadlines and managing competing priorities.
