About the role
This is an EOI for a Service Technician based in NSW. This hands-on role is responsible for the routine servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of specialised water treatment systems.
Responsibilities:
- Routine service and preventative maintenance of specialised water treatment equipment, including:
- Chlorine gas systems
- Chemical dosing systems
- Ultra Violet (UV) systems
- Reverse osmosis plants
- Working with chlorine gas and chemical dosing facilities, including the handling of dangerous goods
- Instrumentation and equipment troubleshooting and repair
- Minor mechanical works, including PVC pipe fitting
- Equipment disassembly, cleaning, and seal replacement
- Reporting and improvement recommendations, including quoting on occasion
- Liaising with clients and contractors on site while maintaining professionalism and representing Centurion Water appropriately
- Working enthusiastically in a team environment, including supporting colleagues to achieve tasks to the desired quality and within required deadlines
- Assistance with quality control of Centurion Water product installations, sales, and service outcomes
- Preparation and packing of equipment for site‑specific tasks
- Adherence to occupational safety and health, quality, and environmental policies
- Adherence to road rules and responsible driving when operating Company‑owned or marked vehicles
- Turning up fit for work, well rested, and free from drugs and alcohol
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in the water industry
- Cert III Electrical Trade (essential)
- Cert IV Instrumentation (beneficial)
- Instrumentation experience with strong analytical and fault-finding skills
- Experience with chlorine gas and chemical dosing systems (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and general arrangement drawings
- Strong communication, organisational, and reporting skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and liaise with a range of stakeholders
- High level of attention to detail and quality control over own work
- Flexibility to work across service and project environments as required
Qualifications & Licences
- Valid Australian driver’s licence (essential)
- White or blue card (essential)
- Forklift licence (desirable)
