Description

About CareVicinity

At CareVicinity, we’re reimagining how home and community care works. Our platform connects older Australians and people with disability to trusted support workers and care providers. Together with our sister company Trilogy Care, we’re building a modern, transparent and flexible care experience powered by smart technology and genuine human empathy.

You’ll join a growing product and engineering team based in Brisbane. We work closely across design, data and care operations to build tools that make care coordination simple, reliable and human‑centred. As part of a lean, collaborative team, your work will directly contribute to the quality and stability of the platform thousands of Australians rely on every day.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Quality Assurance Tester who takes pride in catching issues before they reach users. You’ll design and execute test plans, identify defects, validate fixes, and work closely with developers and product managers to ensure our releases are stable, accessible and high‑quality.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured problem‑solving, thrives in a fast‑moving product environment, and wants to help shape QA practices as we scale. You’ll work across web and mobile, contribute to our testing documentation, and help strengthen our overall quality culture. This is a full‑time role based in Brisbane. You’ll begin in the office full‑time during probation, then transition to a hybrid model (3 days in office, 2 days from home).

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop and execute manual and automated test cases based on requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Identify, document and track defects through to resolution using tools like Jira or Linear
  • Perform functional, regression, integration and exploratory testing across web and mobile
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers and designers to understand features and define testability requirements
  • Review specifications and user stories to ensure they are complete, testable and unambiguous
  • Contribute to and maintain test plans, test suites and QA documentation
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies including planning, standups and retrospectives
  • Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing prior to release
  • Identify opportunities to improve QA processes, tooling and test coverage

You’re Our Kind of Person If You…

  • Understand QA methodologies, SDLC, and testing types (functional, regression, smoke, UAT)
  • Can write clear, reproducible bug reports with supporting evidence (screenshots, logs, steps to reproduce)
  • Are familiar with browser developer tools and debugging techniques
  • Have experience with test management and defect tracking tools (Jira, Linear, TestRail or similar)
  • Bring strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Communicate clearly and work well with cross‑functional teams

Nice to Have

  • Experience with automated testing tools (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, PEST Browser, Claude Code)
  • Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman
  • Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how they affect testability
  • Experience testing Laravel/Inertia/Vue applications

What’s In It For You

  • Salary range $60,000–$80,000 + super, depending on experience
  • Opportunity to shape QA processes and standards as we scale
  • Collaborative, supportive team environment
  • Professional development and growth opportunities
  • Hybrid working arrangements after probation
  • Modern office on King Street, Bowen Hills
  • Monthly team socials (finish early to connect and celebrate)
  • Birthday leave the day is yours
  • Work with a mission‑driven team improving how Australians access care
