About CareVicinity

At CareVicinity, we’re reimagining how home and community care works. Our platform connects older Australians and people with disability to trusted support workers and care providers. Together with our sister company Trilogy Care, we’re shaping a modern, transparent and flexible care experience powered by smart technology and human empathy.

You’ll join a growing product and design team based in Brisbane. We work closely with engineers, data, and care specialists to design tools that make care coordination simple and personal. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative product team while working on real, high-impact projects that help people live independently for longer.

This Role Is Built for You If You’ve Worked In…

This role is ideal if you’re ready to grow your craft in a fast‑moving product environment. As a Junior Product Designer, you’ll help shape CareVicinity’s two‑sided marketplace and supporting tools, working closely with our Senior Designer and Junior Designer to turn research and requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and polished, production‑ready designs.

You’ll also gain hands‑on experience with how we integrate AI into our design and product workflows from rapid prototyping with generative tools to designing interfaces that deliver intelligent recommendations to users.

This is a full‑time role based in Brisbane. You’ll begin in the office full‑time during your probation period, then transition to a hybrid model of three days in the office and two days from home.

What You’ll do:

  • Work alongside a senior designer to translate ideas and requirements into clear design artefacts such as user flows, wireframes, mock-ups and clickable prototypes.
  • Help run usability testing, research and shadowing sessions with care recipients, coordinators and support workers.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of our Figma design system, ensuring consistency across web and mobile interfaces.
  • Collaborate with engineers to hand over design files and review implementations.
  • Document design decisions and feedback, helping to keep projects well organised and up to date.
  • Participate in design critiques and product meetings, learning how design fits into agile delivery.
  • Support UI copy and visual QA tasks to ensure high-quality, accessible experiences.
  • Explore and adopt AI-assisted design tools (e.g. generative prototyping, copy generation, image tools) to accelerate your workflow and expand what’s possible.
  • Help design interfaces and experiences that incorporate AI-driven features – such as smart matching, scheduling suggestions and proactive care insights – ensuring they remain transparent and human-centred.

You’re Our Kind of Person If You…

  • Have 1–2 years of experience in UX/UI or product design, or a strong portfolio from study or personal projects
  • Solid foundational skills in Figma and an understanding of modern design workflows
  • Curiosity and openness to experimenting with AI‑assisted design and productivity tools
  • A positive, growth‑oriented mindset and willingness to learn from feedback
  • Awareness of usability and accessibility principles
  • Clear communication skills and an interest in collaborating with cross‑functional teams
  • A genuine motivation to design products that create social impact
  • Full Australian work rights

What’s In It For You?

  • Be part of a platform helping Australians access the right care and support to live well at home.
  • Learn directly from senior designers and product leaders with experience across SaaS, marketplaces and health tech
  • Work in a mission‑driven environment that values autonomy, empathy and experimentation
  • Build early‑career expertise in applied AI for product design, from workflow tools to AI‑powered features we’re actively shipping
  • Enjoy a hybrid setup with a modern office on King Street, Bowen Hills
  • Grow your career within the wider Trilogy Care group, with opportunities across design, product and operations
  • Modern Mac and Design Tools
  • Monthly team socials where you finish early to connect and celebrate
  • Birthday leave – the day is yours
