cape group (cape) is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee providing services to people with a disability and is a Registered NDIS Provider.

 

Nadrasca joined with Brite in April 2025 to form cape group, a newly formed brand resulting from the merger of the two NDIS registered providers with a combined 120 years in operation across the eastern and northern suburbs.

 

Together, we provide a range of services for people with disability, including home and living supports, social and community participation activities, youth employment assistance, supported employment, and NDIS support coordination.

The Position

Reporting to the Production Coordinator takes full accountability for the day- to-day operations concerning production activities within cape’s Contract Services business.One of the main objectives of the role is to provide support to employees and to assist in the achievement of employee goals which will aid in maximizing employment potential leading to open employment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

– Employee Support, Development and Goal Achievement

  • Provide support to employees to assist in the achievement of employee aims and maximise each individual’s employment potential within cape Industry, leading to open employment.
  • Document the progress of employees through daily support/progress notes.
  • Complete required employee reporting documentation.
  • Assist in the skill development of employees.

– Quality, Safety and Continuous Improvement

  • Work with the Production Coordinator and Operations Manager to achieve quality objectives as set by cape relating to Industry.
  • Grow the safety culture by leading the Gemba Kaizen program daily and monitoring 5S implementation and audits.

– Production Operations and Resource Management

  • Effectively utilise raw materials, equipment and machinery to achieve maximum outcomes.
  • Assist the Production Coordinator to efficiently organise and supervise cape Industry employees.

– Reporting, Reconciliation and Administration

  • Prepare the Daily Production Efficiency Reports against the schedule for the Production Coordinators and Operations Manager.
  • Reconcile all jobs at completion.

– General Duties and Organisational Objectives

  • Undertake any reasonable tasks assigned by the Production Coordinator and Operations Manager to achieve company objectives.

 

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Knowledge and/orexperience of production processes in a manufacturing and supervision environment is desirable.
  • Experience in the disability sector is desirable.
  • A Certificate IV in Disability or a trainingdiscipline or any other relevantqualification is desirable.
  • Experience in line management or leading teams.
  • Current Level 2 FirstAid Certificate.
  • Current full Victorian Driver’sLicense.

  • Competent in Microsoft Officesuite and databases.
  • Ability to exercise sensitivity and maintain strictconfidentiality, when required.
  • Proven abilityto build constructive relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Sound organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize, plan and complete works on time, for both self and work team.
