The opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced ICT Manager to lead our technology function and help shape the next chapter of Cancer Council WA.
Reporting to the Corporate Services Director, you’ll lead our ICT team and develop our technology strategy, ensuring our systems, infrastructure and support services are secure, effective, user-focused and fit for the future.
You’ll be joining us at an exciting point in our technology journey, with a new Customer Relationship Management project underway and plenty of opportunity to modernise and improve our systems and processes. This is a great opportunity to make your mark and play a key role in shaping how technology supports Cancer Council WA and enables our people to do their best work.
A strong customer service focus is highly desirable. You’ll build positive relationships with colleagues across the organisation, understand their needs and ensure they receive responsive, professional and practical IT support. We’re looking for someone who can combine strong technical leadership with a genuine commitment to delivering an excellent service experience.
This is a full-time position based in Subiaco.
What you’ll be doing:
• Lead and develop the ICT team with a strong customer-service focus.
• Develop and deliver short- and long-term ICT strategies and priorities.
• Support with the implementation of our new CRM and other technology initiatives.
• Review and modernise ICT systems, processes and infrastructure.
• Strengthen cyber security, including alignment with the Essential Eight framework.
• Oversee data privacy, technology risk and responsible AI governance.
• Evaluate and implement business solutions, systems and integrations.
• Manage ICT budgets, vendors and external providers.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and provide practical technology advice.
• Review ICT policies and practices to ensure legislative and organisational compliance.
About you
• A relevant tertiary qualification in ICT, Computer Science, Project Management or a related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar ICT leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing an ICT team.
• Experience developing and implementing an ICT strategy.
• Strong cyber security experience, including the Essential Eight framework.
• Experience with AI governance, data privacy and technology risk.
• Systems implementation and integration experience; Salesforce/CRM experience highly regarded.
• Understanding of SQL and modern technology environments.
• Experience managing budgets and external vendors.
• Strong strategic thinking, communication and stakeholder skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of Cancer Council WA
