Duty Manager

Canberra Southern Cross Club | Multi Venue

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Duty Manager to oversee the daily operations of Canberra Southern Cross Club Venues. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, ensuring staff compliance, managing cash handling procedures, enforcing security measures, overseeing health and safety protocols, and supporting staff development.

– Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure

– Knowledge of the club industry and regulations

– Proficient in cash management procedures

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain close communication with Service Supervisors and Managers to ensure smooth operations and provide patrons with high-quality customer service.

2. Develop and implement customer service standards and continuously monitor performance.

3. Ensure compliance with licensing regulations in accordance with company policy.

4. Enforce appropriate security measures during trading hours.

5. Monitor and report health & safety issues within the establishment.

6. Provide support to staff through appraisals, mentoring, coaching, and development.

Qualifications:

– 3-5 years experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry

– Knowledge of club compliance requirements

– Certification for Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)

– Certification for Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG)

– Certification for Gaming Contact Officer (GCO)

– First Aid and CPR Certification
