We are seeking a motivated and proactive Talent Acquisition (In-House Recruiter) to join our growing team.

 

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, with a primary focus on attracting and recruiting quality candidates across our demolition operations, as well as office-based positions supporting our residential and commercial business.

 

This is an opportunity for a hands-on recruiter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building strong relationships and making a genuine impact on workforce growth, with the added opportunity to develop broader Human Resources experience.

 

About the Role

You will manage recruitment across a diverse range of positions, including:

  • Asbestos Removal – asbestos removal labourers and experienced personnel.
  • Hand Demolition – demolition workers and general labourers.
  • Machine Operations – excavator operators and machine support labourers.
  • Transport – semi-tipper, hooklift and floater drivers.
  • Office and Support Roles – administrative and office-based positions supporting our residential and commercial operations.
  • Supervisory and Other Roles – supporting HR Manager with leadership and additional business positions as required.

Working closely with the HR Manager, hiring managers/key stakeholders and Compliance Officer, you will ensure recruitment requirements are understood, candidates are appropriately assessed and pre-employment and onboarding requirements are coordinated.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from vacancy briefing and advertising through to commencement.
  • Source, screen and interview candidates across blue-collar, operational, office-based and supervisory roles.
  • Create and manage job advertisements across HR System platform (Employment Hero) and other recruitment channels.
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines to support current and future workforce requirements.
  • Work with hiring managers to understand role requirements, licences, tickets and experience.
  • Coordinate reference checks, pre-employment checks and candidate communications.
  • Support onboarding and induction processes in partnership with Compliance.
  • Assist the HR Manager with employment offers, contract administration and broader HR activities as required.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records, reporting and candidate information.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in talent acquisition, internal recruitment or agency recruitment.
  • Blue-collar recruitment experience, preferably in demolition, construction, civil, transport or a similar industry.
  • Strong sourcing, screening, interviewing and candidate management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • The ability to manage multiple vacancies and competing priorities.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach.
  • Experience using Employment Hero or other Recruitment Platforms.
  • An interest in expanding your Human Resources knowledge and experience.
