Buckland Aged Care is seeking an energetic, hardworking and reliable Gardener to join our Maintenance team. This is a full-time Monday to Friday position (7:30am – 4:30pm). The role will involve working across both our village gardens and visiting Home Care clients throughout the Blue Mountains to undertake gardening and grounds maintenance work. As travel is required, the successful applicant will need to hold a current driver’s license.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake general grounds and garden maintenance including lawn mowing, whipper snipping, pruning, weeding and general upkeep
• Ensure all duties are completed safely in accordance with Work Health and Safety requirements
• Work cooperatively with other members of the garden and maintenance team
• Assist the broader Maintenance team when required
• Report to the Maintenance Manager and follow directions as needed

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Have a keen interest in gardening and working outdoors
• Have experience using gardening tools and equipment (or willingness to learn)
• Be physically fit and capable of manual labour
• Deliver quality work to a high standard within set timeframes
• Have a strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills
• Have knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety principles
• Hold a current driver’s licence
• Have a positive “can-do” attitude and work well as part of a team
