Summary:

The IT Support Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems within our organisation. Based in Brisbane, Queensland, this permanent full-time position involves providing technical support to staff, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will contribute to enhancing our technological capabilities and ensuring a high level of service delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 1 technical support and timely resolution of user issues and service requests.
  • Monitor, manage, and escalate service desk tickets to internal teams and external vendors where required.
  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and software.
  • Deliver a high-quality user support experience for both office-based and remote employees.
  • Support Microsoft Teams, video conferencing solution, printing services, and workplace collaboration technologies.
  • Monitor and maintain IT systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Document support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system for future reference.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members.
  • Maintain the IT asset register and hardware inventory.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an IT support role or similar position.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and service desk systems is an advantage.
