We’re seeking a vibrant, people‑focused receptionist and administration professional who brings warmth, organisation and spark, and is ready to make a meaningful impact in youth mental health services.

 About the Role

As the Receptionist/Administration Officer at headspace Hamilton, you’ll be the friendly face and steady heartbeat of the centre.  Creating a warm, youth‑friendly experience from the moment someone walks through the door. You’ll keep our daily operations humming, support young people to feel comfortable and informed, and make sure staff and visitors feel welcomed, supported and in good hands.

You’ll be the go‑to person for client records, appointments, payments and smooth service flow, working closely with the Operations Manager to keep the centre organised, approachable and running at its best.

This role is perfect for someone who’s motivated, detail‑savvy and thrives in a space where no two days look the same. Some days will be fast-paced and full of moving parts and you’ll juggle priorities with confidence, calm and professionalism. Other days will be quieter, giving you space to lean into initiative, self-direction and proactive support for leadership and the broader team.

We are seeking applicants for Full Time, Part Time and Casual positions, offering flexibility for individuals with different availability.

Do your skills include:

  • Demonstrated ability to provide high standard reception and administrative support. 
  • Experience using client management systems in a health setting (such as Best Practice). 
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate warmly and effectively with a variety of people including a youth-friendly approach. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as within a broader team. 

Are your credentials:

  • A minimum qualification of a relevant Certificate III or higher in Administration (Medical) and/or experience in working in a similar role.
  • Current First Aid (Level 2) Certificate is desirable but not essential.
