Broadsheet Media is looking for a Social Media Executive to join our team in Melbourne on a short-term contract (six months), working primarily across commercial content on all social media platforms, plus editorial content when required.

The Role

The role of the Social Media Executive is to help connect Broadsheet’s audience to our content by understanding and optimising our social channels, with a primary focus on commercial branded content for the Australian market. Assisting other markets may also be required at times.  Reporting to the Social Media Performance Executive, this role works alongside them to manage output for the commercial division across all social platforms to ensure optimised, strategic results, as well as contributing to editorial content output for the Australian channels when needed. We are looking for someone with a great eye for social media, professional experience across all social media platforms, a strong editorial lens and an understanding of the Broadsheet tone, but with a definitive interest in delving into why something may or may not be performing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and execute end-to-end branded content distribution across organic and paid social channels, partnering with Studio and Audience Growth teams. ● Optimise commercial social media post performance on Meta and Tiktok Ads Manager.
  • Use performance data to optimise engagement for editorial and branded content as well as financial performance for branded content.
  • Liaising with the Campaign Management team on the commercial social media content calendar and scheduling across channels. • Analysing and reporting on social media performance and feeding back to relevant teams.
  • Create and execute editorial content distribution across Broadsheet’s Australian social channels when required.
