How you can play a part

Reporting to the Head of Community Operations, the purpose of the Sport Business Institute Manager is to lead the Brisbane Broncos Sports Business Institute, driving student recruitment, engagement, retention and program enhancement. Working closely with TAFE Queensland and stakeholders across the Broncos, you’ll oversee the end-to-end student experience while ensuring the long-term success and sustainability of the program.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage the Brisbane Broncos Sports Business Institute, including team leadership, performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver student recruitment, conversion and retention strategies aligned to enrolment targets and growth objectives.
  • Oversee the end-to-end student experience, including work integrated learning, industry engagement opportunities, student wellbeing support and program delivery.
  • Manage relationships with TAFE Queensland and key stakeholders to ensure strong governance, compliance and program outcomes.
  • Monitor program performance, enrolments, retention and student outcomes, providing reporting and strategic recommendations.
  • Lead alumni engagement initiatives that strengthen industry connections, mentoring opportunities and future program growth.
  • Manage program budgets, forecasts and operational planning to support sustainable performance.

This is a full-time position based at the Clive Berghofer Centre, Red Hill. Due to the nature of the role, flexibility is required, with some evening and weekend work associated with events and program activities.

 

To be considered 

To be considered for this opportunity you will have

  • Demonstrated experience leading education, student engagement, program management, marketing or business growth functions, ideally within the sport, education or community sectors.
  • Proven success developing and implementing recruitment, conversion and retention strategies against measurable targets.
  • Strong leadership experience, including managing teams, budgets and competing priorities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships and influence internal and external partners.
  • Strong commercial, analytical and problem-solving capabilities, supported by experience using data and CRM systems to drive outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Education, Sports Management or a related discipline (desirable).
  • Current Blue Card (or ability to obtain prior to commencement) and Current First Aid Certification.
