How you can play a part
Reporting to the Head of Game Day & Events, the purpose of the Events Manager is to drive exceptional event experiences across the Brisbane Broncos events portfolio, creating innovative opportunities to engage audiences, grow the Broncos brand and support revenue growth. As second-in-charge of the Game Day & Events department, you’ll also play a key role across NRL and NRLW game days, supporting the delivery of world-class experiences for our members, fans, partners and guests.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the planning and delivery of corporate, partner, hospitality, fundraising and fan events.
- Develop and enhance the Club’s events strategy to drive engagement, innovation and revenue growth.
- Deliver large-scale activations and promotional campaigns from concept through to execution.
- Create new event concepts and experiences that grow the Broncos brand and engage diverse audiences.
- Lead event activation strategies and develop compelling proposals, pitch decks and creative presentations.
- Hold a key game day portfolio across NRL and NRLW home fixtures, including hospitality and entertainment elements.
- Collaborate across Commercial, Marketing and Digital to integrate events, partnerships and brand activations.
- Act as deputy game day lead when required, working closely with the NRL, Suncorp Stadium and key stakeholders.
- Support departmental planning, budgets, procedures and continuous improvement across Game Day & Events.
This is a full-time role, with a nominal working week of 38 hours. Due to the nature of the sports industry, a high degree of flexibility is required, including additional hours around events and game days.
To be considered
To be considered for this opportunity you will have:
- A minimum of five years’ experience in event planning and execution.
- Extensive experience delivering event logistics, activations and brand experiences from concept through to execution.
- Experience delivering events within stadiums, arenas or major live venue environments, with exposure to live sport or game day operations desirable.
- Demonstrated capability developing event and marketing strategies that drive engagement and commercial outcomes.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience in budget development, tracking and identifying cost efficiencies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across internal teams, partners, suppliers and external stakeholders.
- Strong planning, organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in fast-paced live environments.
- A tertiary qualification in Events Management, Business, Marketing or a related discipline is desirable, with experience using event management software such as EventsAir highly regarded.
