How you can play a part

Reporting to the Community Programs Administration Lead, the Community Programs Administration Assistant will support the planning, coordination and delivery of workshops, events and activities that create meaningful experiences for program participants. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in administration, events, community programs or project coordination

Working closely with the Programs Team, Workshop Facilitators, Student Support Officers and Community Operations Team, you will play a key role in ensuring workshops and activities are delivered efficiently and provide meaningful experiences for program participants by:

  • Coordinate, schedule and manage the annual school workshop calendar across the Beyond the Broncos Program
  • Respond to facilitator appearance requests in a timely manner across all business areas including; workshops, camps, school-based events and government events.
  • Support the planning and development of engaging workshops, learning resources and program materials
  • Work closely with the Community Operations Team to book travel, accommodation, resources and logistics for regional workshop delivery
  • Develop presentations, run sheets, itineraries and workshop documentation
  • Maintain accurate records, databases and reporting relating to workshops and program activities
  • Support stakeholder communication with schools, facilitators, suppliers, venues and community partners
  • Assist the Community Operations Team with events, activities and broader operational support as required.

If you’re passionate about making a positive impact, looking to build your administration and community engagement experience and are eager to learn, we’d love to hear from you. Ideally, for this opportunity you will have:

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A high level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to your work
  • Confidence using Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Confidence managing schedules, calendars, logistics and reporting requirements
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach and passion for delivering quality outcomes
  • An understanding of the issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and their educational outcomes will be highly regarded.
