Summary:
As a Team Leader Behaviour Therapist at our Mile End facility, you will play a pivotal role in leading a dedicated team of therapists to provide high-quality behavioural support to individuals in need. Your expertise will contribute to the development and implementation of tailored therapeutic programmes, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible care. This permanent, full-time position is essential for enhancing the lives of those we serve and fostering a supportive environment for both clients and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of behaviour therapists, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Develop and implement individualised behaviour support plans based on thorough assessments and client needs.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions, making adjustments as necessary to optimise client outcomes.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers and healthcare providers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in behaviour therapy.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and legal NDIS requirements.
- Engage with clients and their families to provide support, education, and resources related to behaviour management.
- Rural travel is expected in this role every 4-6 weeks.
Qualifications:
- A relevant degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Proven experience in behaviour therapy, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to client care.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in behaviour therapy and social care.
- Ability to analyse complex situations and develop effective solutions.
- Be a registered practitioner of Positive Behaviour Therapy with a NDIS practitioner ID number.
