Senior Book Keeper/ Finance Officer

Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Book Keeper/Finance Officer to join our team in Mile End, South Australia. This permanent, full-time role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our financial operations and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers and journals.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and financial accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and standards.
• Provide support during audits and assist in the implementation of audit recommendations.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or finance roles, preferably in a mid-senior capacity.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
