Veterinary Nurse < 3 years experience

We are looking for a veterinary nurse who is currently studying, or has recently completed, a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing to join our team. Veterinary Technologists who have recently completed a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology are also welcome to apply.

This role is a great opportunity to develop your practical nursing skills in a supportive and fast-paced clinic environment. This is a permanent part-time position for 3 days per week, averaging approximately 30 hours per week.

While we can teach you the technical veterinary skills, the ideal candidate must :

• Have the aptitude and willingness to learn
• Enjoy working in a busy environment with multiple priorities
• Be confident and organised
• Communicate well with both clients and the veterinary team
• Show initiative and work well as part of a team

Previous experience in a veterinary clinic would be highly regarded, but is not essential.

This role will initially commence in the reception area, providing an opportunity to develop client communication and clinic workflow skills before progressing into other areas of the clinic. As experience and confidence grow, the role will expand into nurse consulting duties and, once qualified, surgical nursing responsibilities.
