Project Manager – Melrose Park and Tallowong (3 month FTC, 0.7 FTE)

This project is centred on the mobilisation of 142 new social and affordable homes across Melrose Park and Tallawong. The role is responsible for ensuring Bridge is operationally ready to manage the properties in accordance with its obligations to Acacia and Housing Australia requirements. The key challenge is translating contractual and operational requirements into a detailed, time-critical mobilisation plan, coordinating multiple internal workstreams and managing dependencies between Bridge, Acacia and the Developer. Successful delivery will see both projects operationally ready, with the required people, systems, processes, documentation and governance in place for services to commence and properties to be leased and managed effectively.

Project Manager – Gearing Up for Growth (6 month FTC, 1.0 FTE)

This project delivers Gearing Up for Growth Phase 2A, preparing Bridge to successfully operationalise its growing pipeline of social and affordable housing. The key challenge is coordinating a complex, cross-functional organisational change program, bringing together operational and corporate teams to resolve critical issues and develop consistent approaches to compliance and reporting, project handover and mobilisation, affordable housing service delivery and mixed-tenure governance. Successful delivery will see the key organisational frameworks, processes and operating approaches required for future growth agreed, implemented and ready to support mobilisation of the next wave of projects, alongside a clear plan for G4G Phase 2B.

The opportunity

The Project Manager role leads complex and strategically significant projects that deliver Bridge Housing’s strategic priorities, strengthen operational performance, support organisational growth and improve customer outcomes. Leading projects end to end through discovery, definition, design, delivery, and ensuring the successful transition to business-as-usual operations.

The role operates with substantial autonomy and is accountable for delivering projects within agreed scope, budget and governance requirements. Success means achieving agreed outcomes and milestones, managing risks and dependencies, preparing teams for implementation, establishing clear business ownership and delivering measurable, sustainable benefits.

What a day in the role might look like

  • Scope and plan projects, translating business needs into clear outcomes, deliverables and measures of success.
  • Establish project plans, governance, budgets, risks, dependencies and reporting requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget and to the required quality.
  • Keep sponsors and stakeholders informed through clear reporting, advice and timely escalation of issues.
  • Lead change and implementation activities to embed new services, systems, processes and ways of working.
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation and with external partners to navigate priorities and drive outcomes.
  • Manage project resources, suppliers and commercial requirements as needed.
  • Support effective transition into business-as-usual and ensure project benefits and lessons are captured.

Who we’re looking for
