About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to support clients with chronic and complex disability and health needs within our Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) and community settings.
Working alongside a supportive team of Nurses and Disability Support Workers, you will play a key role in assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating client care. You will collaborate closely with the Clinical Lead to ensure high-quality, compliant, and person-centred outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and effective nursing care aligned with individual care plans and NDIS requirements
- Monitor and respond to changes in client health and wellbeing
- Support clients with medication management, enteral feeding, personal care, and community participation
- Coordinate appointments and assist clients to achieve their goals and independence
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes and incident reports
- Provide clinical guidance and support to Disability Support Workers
- Ensure compliance with NMBA standards, NDIS Practice Standards, and organisational policies
- Participate in quality audits, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Current and unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Strong clinical skills and care planning experience
- Experience supporting clients with complex health needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Driver Licence and CPR Certificate
Highly Desirable:
- Experience in paediatric complex care
- Experience in disability or community-based care
- Enteral feeding, medication administration, and complex care experience
- Knowledge of aspiration risk, respiratory support, or oxygen therapy
- Experience working with families and multidisciplinary teams
