About the Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Maintenance Superintendent will lead maintenance strategy, reliability and performance across Boss Energy’s Honeymoon operation. Working closely with site leadership, you’ll drive practical improvements that support safe, reliable and efficient production.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on lifting plant availability, strengthening maintenance systems and building a capable, high-performing team.

This position is offered as a full-time, 8:6 FIFO role from Adelaide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead maintenance strategy, reliability and performance across the Honeymoon process plant.
  • Drive plant availability, asset performance and cost efficiency through practical maintenance planning and continuous improvement.
  • Provide trusted technical advice to senior leaders on maintenance risks, priorities and optimisation opportunities.
  • Develop and implement robust maintenance plans, procedures and risk controls supported by sound technical analysis.
  • Lead reliability-centred maintenance, root cause analysis and other improvement initiatives that lift operational performance.
  • Establish and monitor maintenance performance metrics aligned to safety, production and business objectives.
  • Work closely with Wellfields, Processing, People, Finance, Safety and Environmental teams to coordinate activities and deliver outcomes.
  • Manage contractors and service providers to ensure safe, high-quality and cost-effective delivery.
  • Coach, mentor and motivate the maintenance team to achieve planned targets and build capability.
  • Provide RMM coverage when required, ensuring continuity of leadership, operational decision-making and site support.
  • Set clear expectations, lift standards and lead by example in safety, values, compliance and accountability.
  • Support a strong safety culture through hazard reporting, risk assessments, safety meetings and timely incident reporting.

About You

What you’ll need to succeed:

    Trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical, with a current Australian driver’s licence required.

    Strong maintenance leadership experience, including at Superintendent level, within mining, resources or heavy industry (fixed plant environment).

    Demonstrated experience leading small to medium-sized or multi-discipline teams.

    Sound technical knowledge of maintenance processes, equipment, procedures and preventative maintenance programs.

    Experience developing and implementing maintenance strategies, systems and procedures that improve reliability and performance.

    Confident communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships across site teams.

    Practical, proactive and solutions-focused, with a strong commitment to safe work practices and accountability.

    High-risk licences, mobile plant experience, Pronto experience and ISR uranium mining exposure will be highly regarded.
