Reporting to the Executive General Manager, Bluewaters Operations, this is a 12-month fixed-term contract providing parental leave cover. The Procurement Coordinator will support the business by providing end-to-end procurement services, including sourcing goods and services, negotiating pricing and coordinating service contracts. This technical procurement role requires the ability to analyse requirements, interpret technical specifications, compile quotations and provide recommendations to management.
Working closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Finance and operational stakeholders, you will deliver cost-effective procurement outcomes, maintain supplier relationships and support inventory and material procurement activities. To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in end-to-end procurement and contract administration, with the ability to balance operational requirements, commercial outcomes and governance obligations.
This role is based in Collie in WA’s South West, surrounded by the picturesque views of the surrounding jarrah forest, hills and farmlands, and a 45 minute drive from the beautiful town and beaches of Bunbury.
As the Procurement Coordinator, you will:
- Process purchase requisitions in a timely manner, ensuring all details are accurate and align with vendor quotations
- Ensure inventory levels are maintained and procurement activities are completed to support operational requirements
- Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and coordinate vendor set-ups in accordance with company procedures
- Liaise with Engineering and Maintenance teams to support the procurement of technical equipment, spares and services
- Obtain and provide detailed quotations, assess tender submissions and provide recommendations for vendor selection
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternate sourcing options while delivering value to the business
- Coordinate and review service contracts, maintain the contracts register and ensure documentation complies with company and finance requirements
- Analyse, summarise and interpret procurement data to assist with reporting, cash flow management and business decision-making
- Match invoices against purchase orders and agreed quotations to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Monitor supplier performance and contribute to the ongoing improvement of procurement processes and systems •
- Provide ad hoc support to administration and warehouse functions as required
About you:
- Contract administration and procurement experience is essential
- Intermediate computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent time management skills, including the ability to prioritise and multi-task
- Ability to analyse, think laterally, solve problems and make decisions within delegation of authority
- Demonstrated independence to work autonomously, whilst also engaging harmoniously with a diverse work group of operations and administration personnel
- Reliable, with a high attention to detail
- A proven ability to build effective relationships with suppliers
- High level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Desirable but not essential:
- A technical background
- Previous warehouse experience with an understanding of inventory
procurement
- Experience using SAP
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation and basic
knowledge of technical diagrams
- Qualifications related to contract administration
