We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sign Writer / Signage Production & Installation Specialist to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working across all aspects of signage production, from design and print preparation through to manufacturing and on-site installation.

Working with industry-leading equipment including HP Latex Printers, HP Cutters, and laminating systems, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality signage solutions while maintaining exceptional standards of workmanship and customer service.

About the Role

As our Sign Writer, you will be responsible for producing, manufacturing, and installing a wide range of signage products. You will work independently, manage production workflows, and contribute your design skills to ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate large-format HP Latex printers, HP cutters, and laminating equipment.
  • Prepare artwork and production files for printing and fabrication.
  • Print, cut, laminate, mount, and finish signage products.
  • Manufacture and assemble signs, decals, banners, vehicle graphics, and other signage products.
  • Install signage and graphics at client sites, ensuring a professional finish.
  • Apply vinyl, laminate, and mount graphics using industry best practices.
  • Check artwork, measurements, colours, materials, and finished products for quality and accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot and report production issues, equipment faults, or material shortages.
  • Maintain production equipment and keep the workspace clean, organised, and safe.
  • Manage daily workload and priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and communicate professionally with clients when required.
  • Adhere to all workplace health and safety requirements, company procedures, and quality standards.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience as a Sign Writer, Signage Production Operator, or similar role.
  • Experience using CorelDRAW or similar graphic design software.
  • Strong design and artwork creation capabilities.
  • Experience operating media cutters, large-format printers, and laminators.
  • Demonstrated skills in vinyl application, laminating, mounting, and finishing graphics.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Current driver’s licence (preferred).
  • A proactive, reliable, and positive work ethic.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing installation and production duties.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Safety-focused with a commitment to safe work practices.
  • Professional presentation and willingness to wear required PPE and company uniforms.
  • Pride in producing high-quality work and meeting deadlines.
