Description

If you enjoy practical work, being outdoors, and working as part of a tight team — this could be the role for you.

About Us

Bishopp has grown over three decades into one of Australia’s leading regional out-of-home advertising companies. With more than 3,000 advertising opportunities across Australia and New Zealand, we deliver high-profile advertising through an extensive roadside and airport network.

The Opportunity

As a General Hand with Bishopp, you’ll be part of the team that keeps our billboard sites looking their best and helps with a range of practical jobs across our business.

You’ll work alongside experienced team members, get your hands dirty and learn new skills along the way. The work is varied and includes helping with installations, site maintenance, changing billboard artwork and general hands-on tasks.

If you’re reliable, practical, happy working outdoors and enjoy being part of a team, we’d like to hear from you.

Your work will include:

  • Installing and changing large-format vinyl advertising skins on billboards
  • Working safely at heights
  • General billboard repairs and maintenance
  • Vegetation management and site upkeep
  • Preparing tools, equipment, vehicles and materials for scheduled work
  • Ensuring billboard sites are left safe, tidy and presented to a high standard
  • Assisting our Build Team with construction, rebuild and installation work when required
  • Completing job information, photos and records through our field management system

This is a physical, outdoor role suited to someone who enjoys staying active, working with their hands and being part of a team that takes pride in getting the job done properly.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Full working rights in Australia
  • A current manual driver’s licence
  • A Construction White Card
  • A current Working at Heights qualification, or willingness to obtain one
  • The physical capability to safely perform the inherent requirements of the role
  • Willingness and availability to travel for work when required
  • A strong approach to safety, teamwork and reliability

Previous experience in labouring, construction, landscaping, maintenance or other outdoor work would be highly regarded, but attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are equally important.

Why Join Bishopp?

Consistent, full-time work – Enjoy the security of an established business and ongoing work rather than moving between short-term construction projects.

Variety – Your week could include billboard skin changes, vegetation work, maintenance, repairs or assisting the Build Team. The locations and work vary considerably.

Get out and about – Work across a range of metropolitan and regional locations, with opportunities to see different parts of the country as part of the job.

Develop practical skills – Build experience across billboard maintenance, working at heights, equipment operation and construction-related activities.

Be part of the team – Work closely with an experienced field team where safety, teamwork, efficiency and taking pride in the result matter.

  • Secure, long-term, full-time role
  • Supportive team with a no-ego culture
  • Paid training and tickets to build your skills (we invest in you)
