BFX Furniture is seeking reliable and hardworking Container Unloaders / Warehouse Labourers to join our Warehouse team in Yandina.

These opportunities are ideal for candidates who enjoy physical, hands-on work, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and can commit to supporting our busy season through to early 2027.

About the Role

Working as part of our Warehouse team, you will be responsible for the safe unloading, movement, storage, and organisation of furniture products and materials, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse.

This is a physically demanding role involving repetitive lifting, manual handling, and unloading shipping containers. Due to the nature of the work, you will be exposed to warm and humid conditions, particularly during the summer months. Applicants must be physically fit and comfortable performing hands-on work in both outdoor environments and a busy warehouse setting. A strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.

  • Casual Hours: Monday to Friday, generally 6:00am – 2:06pm
  • Start Dates: October, November and December 2026
  • Employment Type: Casual or Maximum-Term Contract

While these positions typically work 6:00am to 2:06pm, hours may occasionally vary due to shipping container delays, changes to vessel schedules, or operational requirements. Applicants should be flexible and understand that workflow can fluctuate based on container arrivals.

These positions are required to support our peak season, which generally runs through to February. However, employment may extend beyond this period depending on business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unload trucks and shipping containers safely and efficiently
  • Receive and process incoming goods
  • Open containers and crates
  • Move and place inventory into designated warehouse locations
  • Stack and organise pallets correctly and safely
  • Organise and restock products as directed
  • Assist with inventory stocktakes and report discrepancies
  • Report damaged stock to supervisors
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free warehouse environment
  • Assist with lifting and moving furniture products throughout the warehouse
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow
  • Follow safe manual handling techniques at all times
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policies, quality standards, and WHS requirements

  • Forklift Licence advantageous but not essential
