Description
At Best Practice Software, our vision is communities connected with care. We’re achieving this through our mission to build a culture people love, where:
- we value customers,
- we work together for success,
- we are accountable for our actions,
- we innovate for the future, and
- we celebrate diversity and inclusion.
If you share our vision and values, please consider this exciting career opportunity to join our growing team in Brisbane, Queensland.
You’re unique, and we value that.
As an Account Manager, we’ll call on your unique talents, skills, expertise, and experience to:
- Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of existing customers while managing escalations end-to-end, coordinating with internal teams to resolve issues, and keeping customers informed until matters are closed;
- Handle the account administration that keeps customers running smoothly: licensing requests, pro-rata adjustments, quarterly true-ups and invoice alignments, monthly processing, contract and MOU preparation and renewals, and responding to customer enquiries;
- Maintain accurate CRM and account records, including data cleansing, tracking engagements and opportunities, and producing monthly and weekly reporting on account management statistics and performance;
- Pursue new business with larger corporate accounts while working with the Leader to identify and qualify target opportunities, monitoring tender sites and market channels for leads, preparing proposals and quotations with internal support, and stepping opportunities through the sales cycle to close;
- Grow value within the existing base and travel to customer sites, both locally and interstate, attend conferences, identifying renewal, upsell and cross-sell opportunities through everyday contact, and feeding customer, competitor and market insights back to the Account Management, Product, Support, Training and Marketing teams.
We believe our ideal applicant will demonstrate the following attributes:
- Genuinely service-minded, who takes ownership of a customer’s problem and sees it through, and is comfortable being the person who fields the hard conversations;
- Highly organised administrator with strong attention to detail and accuracy across records, licensing, contracts and reporting;
- Calm and methodical under pressure, able to triage competing escalations while keeping longer-term opportunities progressing;
- Commercially confident with corporate-level stakeholders and able to build credibility with multiple decision makers in a larger organisation and hold a consultative new-business conversation, not just a service on;
- Strong, adaptable communicator who can translate between customers and internal teams, present proposals credibly, and keep clear, concise business records;
- Systems-confident and process-minded, with a habit of documenting how things are done and looking for ways to do them more efficiently;
- Honest, reliable and personally accountable, with strong self-organisation and a proven ability to meet deadlines;
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a hybrid work environment, shares knowledge, contributes to team morale, and works effectively across Account Management, Product, Support, Training and Marketing teams.
