Production Recorder

About the role

Benmax is looking for a Production Recorder to join the Fabrication team. This role is primarily based at our Hume site, with regular travel to our sites across Canberra and Queanbeyan.

You’ll be responsible for measuring, capturing and maintaining accurate production data across the fabrication and assembly process. You’ll spend time out on the floor collecting information, and time at a desk entering it, so this role suits someone who’s equally comfortable in both environments.

Because you’ll be liaising with internal staff daily, including plenty of phone conversations, strong people skills matter as much as your production or administration background.

What you’ll be doing  

• Record daily production output and job progress against the schedule
• Measure and quantify completed work: quantities, weights, lengths and units produced
• Enter labour hours, job numbers and cost codes into our production and timekeeping systems
• Track materials and components issued to jobs, including batch and serial details
• Check recorded data against job cards, work orders and supervisor sign offs
• Prepare daily and weekly production reports for your supervisor and management

What you’ll bring

Must-haves:

• Minimum three years’ experience in production recording, data entry, or administration in a manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable using computers, spreadsheets and production or ERP systems
• Confident talking with staff, supervisors and managers, day in, day out

Nice-to-haves:

• Certificate III in Business Administration, Manufacturing or equivalent
• Six Sigma Certification
