About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Supervisor to join the team at our waste centre, located in Bowral. This is an excellent full-time opportunity for a proactive leader with recycling or waste management experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about operational excellence and sustainable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all personnel are aware of and comply with company WHS policies and procedures.
- Liaise with the Site Manager to ensure the plant operates at maximum efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure all documentation, including checklists, daily production reports, timesheets, work permits, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), are completed accurately and submitted within required timeframes.
- Identify plant and equipment maintenance issues and work with the Site Manager to coordinate timely repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Ensure plant and equipment operations comply with EPA, NSW industry regulations, and local council requirements.
- Assist with the commissioning of new plant and equipment and support its effective integration into routine operations.
- Maintain high standards for site housekeeping to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Monitor and manage production feed rates and product yields to achieve production targets and operational objectives.
About You
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a recycling, waste management, or resource recovery environment.
- Proven experience operating mobile plant and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong awareness of safe work practices when working around heavy plant and machinery.
- Ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience leading and supervising teams to achieve operational objectives.
- Proven ability to delegate tasks effectively while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organisation.
