About the role:
We are looking for Housekeepers to join our dynamic Hospitality Services Team. Reporting directly to the Director of Operational Services
Our Housekeepers provide and maintain a high-quality standard cleaning service within Barunga Homes and additionally re-stock the household supplies, along with the cleanliness of the wider organisation.
Responsibilities of the role:
As one of our newly appointed Housekeepers you will complete a variety of cleaning tasks not limited to:
- Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all House Members’ rooms, communal areas, Head Office, Barunga Offices and staff sleepover unit/s
- Re-stocking household supplies;
- Provide indirect support as per the model of care, such as assisting at meal times;
- Ensure there is accurate documentation of duties completed and support delivered;
- Communicate effectively with House Members and staff;
- Respond effectively to unexpected situations within own level of skill and competence;
- Adhere to defined work health and safety policies and procedures related to the work being undertaken in order to ensure own safety and that of others in the workplace;
- Assist with ordering and maintaining household stock supplies.
About you:
- Previous experience in housekeeping and/or aged care support in an aged care facility or similar environment is desirable
- Strong attention to detail to maintain a high standard of cleaning;
- Demonstrated ability to understand how to safely use and correctly store chemicals;
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritise tasks;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Be physically fit and able to undertake a variety of tasks, that involve lifting, walking, bending and stretching for significant and prolonged periods of time;
Conditions:
- Hold a current NDIS worker screen check and or the ability to obtain NDIS worker screen check.
