Our distinguished Corporate and Commercial team is seeking an Associate level lawyer with broad transactional and advisory experience to join them.

About the team
Bartier Perry’s Corporate & Commercial group is renowned for their robust expertise across all matters relating to corporate & commercial law.
Led by 6 highly-esteemed partners, the team undertakes a range of transactional and advisory work on behalf of public and private sector clients of varying sizes. They are trusted advisors to corporations and government agencies operating in diverse sectors, from manufacturing to transport, as well as education, government and technology.
As an Associate in the team, you will play a key role in matters, including:
- Commercial contracting across technology, privacy, intellectual property, procurement and supply chain matters.
- Corporate restructuring, succession planning and strategic regulatory advice for growth-stage and established businesses.
- Mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments and complex business transactions.
- Shareholder, partnership and governance advisory work for privately owned businesses and professional services firms.
You will be involved in client liaison, and have general day to day responsibility of progressing files under appropriate senior supervision.
About you
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 4 years of post-admission experience in commercial and corporate law matters, including strong drafting, negotiation and advisory skills across a range of commercial, technology, privacy and intellectual property matters, and preferably with some experience also in M&A transactions, shareholder and partnership arrangements, corporate governance and restructuring matters
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Strong academic results
- Strong legal technical skills
- The ability to prioritise tasks and manage workflow
- An interest in learning about our clients and their business.
