Ballard Mining Ltd is an exploration company exploring for Gold in the Eastern Goldfields with a current resource of 1.84Moz @2.8g/t Au.

We are currently seeking an Environmental Officer to join our team on a permanent basis, working day shift on an 8:6 roster. FIFO from Perth.

Our Mt Ida Project is rapidly progressing towards mining with a developed camp situated an hour’s drive from Menzies. 

This is an excellent opportunity to enter a company that is moving from exploration into development and operations.

This role is a key part of the site team and undertake environmental management activities on site, ensuring compliance with environmental approvals and site procedures.

Key functions of the role:

• Management, analysis and reporting of compliance records and data including rehabilitation activities across our exploration group.
• Input into key projects for environmental planning and approvals compilation.
• Support long-term environmental monitoring programs through compliance conditions and commitment.
• Production of maps, spatial analyses, and reports to support environmental compliance, approvals, operational planning, and decision-making.
• Collaborate continuous improvement of Company environmental management processes.

About you:

• Ability to work in remote camp environment.
• Manual C-Class driver’s licence.
• Ability to pass Fit for Work Medical (including D&A) and police check.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and interpret data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised, whilst being part of a well-developed team.
• GIS and field operations experience will be highly regarded.

This role will work closely with the site and projects teams, providing practical environmental support, contributing to continuous improvement across environmental processes.
