About the Role

Southern Ocean Lodge is seeking a passionate Spa Manager to lead our spa and wellness offering at one of Australia’s most celebrated luxury wilderness lodges, set on the rugged southern coast of Kangaroo Island.

In this role, you will oversee all aspects of spa operations, from treatment delivery and team leadership to product management and guest experience. You will work closely with the lodge leadership team to create personalised wellness journeys that reflect the landscape and connect guests to place.

This is a residential role based on Kangaroo Island, with accommodation and meals provided.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, training and developing the spa team to deliver exceptional, personalised treatments
• Managing daily spa operations, including rostering, bookings and treatment flow
• Delivering hands-on treatments as required
• Maintaining the highest standards of presentation, hygiene and guest care
• Managing stock, retail product and supplier relationships
• Monitoring spa revenue, labour and operational costs
• Developing and refining the treatment menu in line with the lodge’s regenerative ethos
• Collaborating with the leadership team to integrate wellness across the guest journey

About You

You are a passionate and experienced spa leader who thrives in a luxury environment and takes pride in creating calm, memorable guest experiences.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Spa Manager or senior spa therapist in a luxury resort, lodge or day spa
• A Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy, Massage or a related wellness discipline
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Commercial awareness, with experience managing budgets, stock and revenue
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends
• Current Australian working rights
