About the Role:

Due to strong growth and a pipeline of client projects, we are currently looking for suitably cleared and experienced DevSecOps Engineers, or individuals eligible to hold a security clearance, to work with our Defence clients across several projects and disciplines. These roles are hybrid with a mix of onsite and flexible working arrangements. In addition, part-time positions will be considered.

In this role, you will undertake tasks such as but not limited to:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
  • Developing, maintaining, and optimising cloud and on-premise infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC).
  • Applying IaC and CaC patterns to deliver consistent, auditable, and secure platform configurations
  • Deploying and managing applications within container platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
  • Performing peer reviews, embedding advanced security controls and automated testing into development and deployment workflows.
  • Interacting with clients and collaborating with a passionate team of data scientists and software engineers to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
  • Providing ongoing enhancements, maintenance and support in existing systems and platforms.
  • Supporting system accreditation and continuous assurance activities within Defence environments.
  • Participating in release and sprint planning sessions, daily stand-up meetings, sprint demos, retrospectives, story grooming sessions, and any other Kanban/Scrum-related meetings.

What we are looking for:

  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain a minimum NV1 security clearance (Australian citizenship required).
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Engineering or similar (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in DevOps/DevSecOps roles supporting complex systems.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and working with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure and/or GCP).
  • Hands-on experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Solid understanding of DevSecOps principles, including Secure-by-Design, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC), and modern security tooling and practices.
  • Desirable: Experience in Defence or high-assurance environments, including ISM/accreditation, Zero Trust, secure architectures, cross-domain systems, and relevant cloud/security certifications.
