Description

Why Atmos

Atmos is redefining how organisations manage cyber, privacy and digital risk. As a specialist legal and advisory firm operating across Australia and New Zealand, we work at the intersection of law, technology, crisis and business resilience. Our clients rely on us when the stakes are high—from cyber incidents and regulatory investigations to complex privacy and digital risk challenges.

We’re building something distinctive. We move quickly, challenge conventional ways of working and invest in our people. At Atmos, you’ll work with experienced leaders, contribute to meaningful work and help build the teams behind a growing, highly specialised business.

Our culture is guided by four principles:

  • We are humans first, looking out for each other and our clients.
  • We deliver solutions and are willing to do things differently.
  • We move at pace, keep things simple and deliver on our promises.
  • We value our people and recognise their contribution.

About the role

We’re looking for a capable, hands-on Talent Acquisition Specialist to partner with our Manager, Talent & Integration and take ownership of recruitment across a broad portfolio of roles throughout the Atmos ecosystem. You’ll manage end-to-end recruitment for business services and support roles, business development and operational positions, and junior-to-mid-level professionals across our legal, cyber advisory and crisis communications teams.

Working closely with hiring managers, you’ll turn hiring needs into practical recruitment plans, identify and engage strong candidates, and deliver a thoughtful, efficient candidate experience from first contact through to offer and onboarding. You’ll balance proactive sourcing with responsive recruitment delivery, maintain clear and accurate recruitment data, and help strengthen our talent pipelines and processes as the business grows.

The role works alongside the Manager, Talent & Integration, who will retain the lead on senior appointments, executive search and strategic headhunting. This creates a clear opportunity for you to own day-to-day recruitment delivery across the broader business while contributing to the wider talent agenda.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for an assigned portfolio of roles across legal, cyber advisory, crisis communications, business development, corporate and business services, and operational/support functions.
  • Recruit across a varied range of levels, from business support and operational positions through to junior and mid-level lawyers and consultants, generally up to Senior Associate level.
  • Partner with hiring managers to clarify role requirements, agree recruitment approaches, establish realistic timelines and provide practical advice throughout the process.
  • Source and engage candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, talent databases, direct approaches and other relevant channels.
  • Conduct initial screening and interviews, assess candidate suitability against role requirements, and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations to hiring managers.
  • Coordinate interviews, maintain timely candidate communication, manage feedback and support offer preparation, negotiation and acceptance.
  • Build and maintain talent pools and pipelines for recurring, hard-to-fill and anticipated vacancies.
  • Coordinate recruitment handover and onboarding activities with People & Culture and relevant stakeholders to support a smooth transition from candidate to employee.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records, recruitment documentation and data, and ensure recruitment activity complies with relevant employment requirements, privacy obligations and internal processes.
  • Prepare recruitment reports and metrics, monitor pipeline progress and recruitment outcomes, and identify opportunities to improve process efficiency and candidate experience.
  • Support employer branding and talent attraction initiatives in partnership with Marketing, including job advertisements and candidate-facing content.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and broader Talent & Integration initiatives as required.

About you

You’re an organised and relationship-oriented recruiter who enjoys managing a varied workload and taking ownership of recruitment from brief to onboarding. You’re comfortable working at pace, engaging with stakeholders across different functions and keeping multiple processes moving without losing attention to detail.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in recruitment, talent acquisition or a recruitment agency environment, with demonstrated end-to-end delivery capability.
  • Experience recruiting across a range of role types and levels; exposure to professional services, legal, consulting, cyber, technology or business services recruitment will be highly regarded.
  • Confident sourcing and screening candidates, including through direct search and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build credibility with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication, sound judgement and a candidate focused approach.
  • Excellent organisation and follow-through, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort with recruitment technology, reporting and maintaining accurate records.
  • A proactive, solutions focused mindset and willingness to improve how recruitment is delivered.
  • A commitment to fair, inclusive and evidence based hiring practices.
  • Curiosity about Atmos’ work across law, cyber, privacy, crisis communications and digital risk.

What we offer

  • The opportunity to work across a distinctive and growing legal and advisory business.
  • Close collaboration with experienced leaders and a broad range of professional teams.
  • Meaningful ownership of recruitment delivery and the opportunity to influence candidate experience and recruitment processes.
  • A collaborative, high-performing environment with access to learning and development.
  • Flexible hybrid working arrangements, with up to two days remote per week.
  • The opportunity to broaden your experience across talent acquisition and wider People & Culture initiatives.
