About the Role:

We are looking for enthusiastic engineers who are curious, motivated and keen to continue developing their technical, project and client-facing skills while working alongside some of the industry’s most experienced practitioners.

Our Perth team is currently seeking a Geotechnical/Civil Engineer on a permanent full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities and Activities Include:

As a Geotechnical/Civil Engineer, you will support the delivery of challenging mining, tailings, water and civil infrastructure projects across Australia and internationally.

 

Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will:

  • Independently deliver technical investigations, analysis, design and reporting within own area of responsibility.
  • Prepare high-quality technical reports, calculations, specifications, drawings and project documentation requiring minimal review.
  • Review technical information critically and identify opportunities to improve project outcomes.
  • Continue developing your technical skills through hands-on project experience, collaboration and professional development.
  • Take ownership of defined project work packages from commencement through to completion.
  • Plan and coordinate personal work to achieve project milestones, budgets and quality expectations.
  • Assist Project Managers with project planning, scheduling and coordination activities.
  • Monitor progress against allocated tasks and proactively communicate emerging risks or issues.
  • Participate in site investigations, inspections and technical reviews where required.
  • Gain exposure to project management, client relationships and the broader aspects of consulting.
  • Support and mentor our undergraduates and graduates.

To be successful, you’ll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Approximately 3+ years of consulting or industry experience in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, tailings, mining infrastructure or land development projects.
  • Have a high standard of technical accuracy, professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently plan and undertake site investigations and field programs.
  • Strong technical report writing and data interpretation skills.
  • Experience managing fieldwork contractors, drilling programs and data collection activities.
  • Ability to manage work packages and coordinate project deliverables with limited supervision.
  • Experience working directly with clients and contributing to project delivery.
  • Familiarity with mining and tailings facilities, embankments, earthworks, seepage investigations, site investigations or land development projects.
  • Ability to mentor and support undergraduates and graduates.
  • Willingness to undertake regular site travel within Western Australia.
  • Current Australian drivers licence.
