Not every hero wears a cape, some
simply show up, stay consistent and refuse to give up on a young person.
Aspire Hub is seeking compassionate, resilient Youth Workers to support young people in residential care across. Logan and the Gold Coast. You will help create safety, stability and trust for
young people who need strong, reliable adults in their corner while maintaining
boundaries
About Aspire Hub
Aspire Hub is a trusted Child Safety provider helping young people build safety, stability, confidence and belonging. We believe the right people, supported in the right way, can change lives.
Be the reason a young person feels safe again.
Some young people in residential care have grown up without stability, safety or consistent trusted adults. That’s where you come in.
Why This Role Matters
The young people you’ll support may have experienced trauma, loss and significant instability. Within a Child Safety framework, trust is built through consistency, safety and professional, trauma-informed practice. Progress takes time, but positive change is possible with the right support.
What You’ll Do
• Provide safe, consistent, trauma-informed care and emotional support.
• Create structure, routine and a safe, stable and supportive home environment.
• Support young people with school, appointments and daily living needs.
• Respond to behaviours of concern using calm, trauma-informed approaches.
• Build professional, appropriate relationships while maintaining clear boundaries.
• Complete accurate documentation in line with Child Safety and Aspire Hub CS requirements.
Shifts include mornings (6:00 am-2:00 pm), short shifts, afternoons/evenings (2:00
pm-10:00 pm) and sleepovers. Flexibility across a 24/7 roster is essential.
What It Takes
This role is demanding, structured and deeply meaningful. We’re looking for people who:
• Stay grounded under pressure in a residential care environment.
• Lead with empathy while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Understand behaviour as communication within a trauma-informed framework.
• Provide consistent, safe and reliable care.
• Work in alignment with Child Safety principles and practice standards.
What You Bring
• Experience supporting young people with complex and challenging behaviours (essential).
• Strong trauma-informed practice.
• High emotional intelligence and communication skills.

• Resilience in physically and emotionally demanding environments.
Requirements
• Current open driver’s licence and access to a reliable, registered and comprehensively insured vehicle.
• Current QLD Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• National Criminal History Check.
• Certificate IV in Youth Work, Child, Youth & Family Intervention or higher, or current
enrolment in a relevant qualification.
• Strong written documentation and computer literacy.
Highly Regarded
• MAYBO, TCI or Hope & Healing training.
What You’ll Get in Return
• Ongoing training and professional development.
• A supportive, experienced team in Child Safety residential care.
• The opportunity to make a genuine, lasting impact.
