We are seeking an experienced, motivated and proactive Service Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality, person-centred supports across our NDIS services.

About the Role

Reporting to the State Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of supported and independent living house locations, providing leadership to House Leaders and Lifestyle Assistants while ensuring services are delivered in accordance with NDIS Practice Standards, Participant funding and organisational expectations.

You will balance operational management, employee leadership, stakeholder engagement, compliance and financial accountability to achieve positive outcomes for the Participants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead, mentor and support House Leaders and Lifestyle Assistants, providing supervision, performance feedback, coaching and professional development
  • Service Delivery: Oversee the daily operations of Participant supports, ensuring services remain person-centred, safe, consistent and responsive to individual needs
  • Rostering and Financial Management: Oversee staffing arrangements, rosters, service agreements and Participant funding to ensure services operate efficiently and within budget and SCHADS Award requirements
  • Quality and Compliance: Maintain high standards of documentation, incident management, risk assessments, workplace health and safety and compliance with NDIS Practice Standards
  • Participant Outcomes: Support the implementation and monitoring of individual support plans, positive behaviour support strategies and complex care requirements
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build positive working relationships with Participants, families, guardians, allied health professionals and other key stakeholders
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to strengthen operational processes, employee performance and the overall quality of service delivery
  • Incident and Emergency Management: Provide effective leadership and sound decision making in response to incidents, emergencies and operational challenges, including participation in an after hours on call roster

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, accountable and confident in leading teams within a fast paced disability services environment.

You will bring:

  • Experience in disability services, preferably within a leadership, coordination or management position
  • Sound understanding of the NDIS, NDIS Practice Standards and person-centred service delivery
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach employees, manage performance and build accountable teams
  • Understanding of operational rostering, SCHADS Award requirements, service agreements and Participant funding
  • Experience managing competing priorities, responding to incidents and resolving operational challenges
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem solving skills
  • Strong administrative skills and confidence using electronic Participant management systems
  • A commitment to safeguarding, continuous improvement and positive Participant outcomes

Essential Requirements

Minimum Certificate IV qualification in Disability, Community Services, Mental Health or another relevant field. Applicants currently studying a relevant qualification may also be considered.

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Current open driver’s licence
  • Satisfactory police check and Australian working rights
