About the Role

As a Trainee Accountant, you’ll work closely with experienced team members to support the delivery of accounting, taxation and advisory services to a diverse client base.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns
• Supporting the delivery of accounting, taxation and business advisory services
• Conducting research and analysis to support client outcomes
• Participating in client meetings and developing professional communication skills
• Building your technical knowledge through practical experience and mentoring
• Collaborating with team members across different service areas
• Leveraging technology and AI tools to improve productivity, efficiency and client outcomes
• Developing your professional and commercial skills through ongoing learning opportunities

About You

You are someone who:

• Is in the final stages of an Accounting degree or has graduated within the past two years
• Is motivated, proactive and eager to learn
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team
• Has strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Is adaptable and open to new ideas and ways of working
• Has an interest in technology, automation and artificial intelligence and how these tools can improve productivity and client outcomes
• Experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or similar technologies is highly desirable
• Is passionate about building a career in professional services

Eligibility

• Final-year Accounting students or graduates within the past two years
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Available to work in Australia on an ongoing basis
