Arra Group is looking for Electricians to join our team in Kalgoorlie mine site on a 7:7 roster basis.

Site – BHP

Roster & Travel

Option1 – 7:7 (7 days on, 7 days off) Dayshift

Fly In – Tuesday evening

Start of Work – Wednesday morning

Fly Out – Tuesday evening 

Option 2 – 7:7 (Thursday to Thursday) – This roster is for Camp Maintenance role ONLY

Rates

Up to $80 per hour

Work Location

The roles will be based at Leinster, with work conducted across both surface and underground environments.

Mandatory Requirements

• Current A-Grade Western Australian Electrical Licence
• Current C-Class Driver’s Licence
• Low Voltage Rescue and CPR (in date)
• Ability to work on surface and underground
• Working at Heights competency
• Familiarity with completing JHAs and Take 5 documentation

Highly Regarded / Preferred Experience

• Exposure to control systems including PLCs, I/O fault finding, sensors, and basic control network troubleshooting
• High Risk Licence (e.g. Forklift, EWP)
• Experience servicing Sandvik drills
• Cert III or IV in Instrumentation (limited exposure acceptable)
• Experience with material handling plant (crushers, conveyors, safety systems, weightometers)
• Refuge chamber servicing

Scope of Work / What to Expect

The role will include a mix of surface and underground work. Due to underground site requirements, a clean-shaven policy applies.

Successful candidates will be required to learn underground driving to become self-sufficient; training and exposure will be provided on site.

Work activities will include (but are not limited to):

• Completion of maintenance plans to ensure compliance
• Earth leakage testing, test and tag, and box maintenance
• Maintenance of mining infrastructure
• Low voltage systems including lighting, power distribution, ventilation fans, Drill/Jumbo boxes etc
• Refuge chamber servicing
• Reticulation works (cable runs, box moves)
• Fault finding on communication networks, control systems, power systems and UPS systems
