We are seeking an experienced Integrated Activity
Engineer/Planner to support the delivery of large-scale solar and battery
storage (BESS) projects across Ark Energy’s expanding portfolio. This is a key
role working closely with the Project Controls Lead to drive integrated
planning, system coordination and project execution across complex,
multi-contractor environments.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Senior Controls and Operations Manager,
the Integrated Activity Engineer/Planner will join Ark Energy in a full-time
permanent capacity. Based in either Brisbane, this role will involve
collaboration across project teams, contractors, and stakeholders, with
occasional travel to project sites.
This is a hands-on, planning and integration role focused on
driving delivery excellence across solar, BESS and high voltage (HV) grid
connection infrastructure. You will be responsible for developing and managing
integrated schedules, aligning system interfaces, and enabling safe, on-time
and compliant project delivery.
Working closely with engineering, construction,
commissioning and commercial teams, you will play a critical role in ensuring
seamless integration across all project phases—from early works through to
energisation and handover.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Developing
and managing integrated master schedules (Level 1–4) across solar, BESS
and HV works
- Leading
Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis, scenario modelling and schedule risk
mitigation
- Coordinating
construction sequencing with commissioning and energisation strategies
- Driving
grid connection planning, including NSP interface and compliance
milestones
- Integrating
multiple EPC contractors, suppliers and OEM schedules into a unified
delivery plan
- Monitoring
performance through earned value, SPI and forecasting metrics
- Supporting
delay analysis, EOT claims and commercial decision-making
- Leading
interface management, resolving dependencies and mitigating delivery risks
- Providing
executive-level reporting, dashboards and planning insights
- Facilitating
planning workshops and influencing stakeholders across all levels of the
business
About You
With significant experience in project planning and controls
within large-scale energy or infrastructure projects, you are a confident and
technically strong professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced delivery
environments.
You bring a highly analytical, solutions-focused mindset,
with the ability to integrate multiple workstreams and influence a wide range
of stakeholders.
To help you succeed in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor’s
degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred)
- Advanced
expertise in Primavera P6 and integrated scheduling
- Demonstrated
experience delivering utility-scale solar, BESS or HV infrastructure
projects
- Strong
understanding of grid connections, substations and commissioning processes
- Proven
capability in multi-contractor coordination and interface management
- Experience
in project controls, including cost, schedule and risk integration
- Excellent
stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
Highly Preferred
- Experience
delivering projects >100MW or Tier 1 infrastructure programs
- Exposure
to grid compliance processes (R1, R2, GPS)
- Experience
across EPC, Owner’s Engineer or developer environments
- Strong
capability in Power BI, data visualisation and advanced Excel modelling
- Background
in HV systems, EMS/SCADA integration and commissioning
Role Fit
- Senior
specialist level role (not purely strategic leadership, not entry-level
planning)
- Strong
mix of planning, systems integration and delivery execution
- Comfortable
working across engineering, construction, and commissioning environments
- Able
to partner with project leaders while maintaining hands-on delivery
accountability
