About the role

Due to continued growth in our client base and project portfolio, we are seeking an experienced Managing Principal to join our Procurement team. This senior leadership role is responsible for building trusted client relationships, leading complex consulting engagements, developing people, growing client accounts and contributing to the continued growth of Argon & Co.

You will partner with executive stakeholders to solve complex business challenges, lead large-scale transformation programs across procurement, supply chain and operations, and guide teams to deliver practical and sustainable outcomes. You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on consulting leadership, commercial acumen and industry expertise.

The role can be based out of Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Perth, with travel to client offices interstate and regional operations as required.

Role responsibilities

  • Lead complex consulting engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery, strong governance and successful client outcomes.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and act as a strategic advisor across procurement, supply chain and operations transformation.
  • Manage commercial outcomes including scope, delivery risk, project performance and client value.
  • Identify opportunities for repeat work, account growth and new business opportunities.
  • Support proposals, pitches and commercial discussions with clients.
  • Coach and mentor consulting teams, creating an environment of collaboration, development and high performance.
  • Contribute to the growth of Argon & Co’s Procurement practice through thought leadership, capability development and market engagement.

About you

We are seeking an experienced consulting leader with strong procurement expertise and a track record delivering procurement transformation programs within Health & Education, Government, Food & Beverage or Heavy Industries.

You will bring:

  • 10+ years’ consulting and/or industry experience across procurement, supply chain, operations or business transformation.
  • Experience leading complex consulting engagements and delivering measurable client outcomes.
  • Strong expertise in procurement transformation, operational excellence and supply chain improvement.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and executive teams.
  • Commercial acumen with experience supporting business development, proposals and account growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop consulting teams.
  • Strong communication, facilitation and negotiation skills.
  • A collaborative, confident and outcomes-focused leadership style.
